Food Pantry

Food donations come in from individuals, organizations, and local grocery stores, to help "pack" the Mission's food pantry.  From this pantry come the ingredients for the 100,000 meals the Mission serves each year, as well as food to fill nearly 450 food baskets.

Many churches and local businesses collect non-perishable food items during seasonal barrel drives or keep a barrel on site all year long.  For more information on keeping a barrel at your church or business, please email info@lcrm.org or call 517.485.0145.

We are not affiliated with the Mid-Michigan Food Bank.  Many people are not aware that organizations, such as the Mission, must purchase food from the food bank and do not receive the food for free.  Simply stated, costs and fees have become too prohibitive for us to continue purchasing food from the food bank.  We have found it much more cost effective to ask God to provide through donations of those who care to make a direct difference in the lives of the hundreds of people whom we serve each day.
